about atlas unbound

live like there is no tomorrow

The world is too big to keep saying “someday.”

I’m Atlas, and I created Atlas Unbound around a simple idea: the places and experiences on our bucket lists shouldn’t have to stay there.

I’m working my way through an ambitious list of my own—visiting every country I can safely, exploring UNESCO World Heritage Sites and national parks, seeing the Seven Wonders of the World, crossing the world’s oceans, and eventually reaching both the North and South Poles. Seven continents are already checked off.

But this isn’t about collecting checkmarks. It’s about experiencing extraordinary cultures, landscapes, wildlife, food, and history—and showing you how those seemingly impossible trips can actually happen.

how i travel

I travel mostly solo, and my travel style depends on the trip. When I have a year or two to plan and save, I can include incredible hotels, private tours, great restaurants, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. When an opportunity comes up with less notice, I’d rather travel more modestly than stay home waiting for the perfect budget.

Either way, I plan carefully—often down to an hour-by-hour itinerary—to make the most of my time and book experiences that can sell out in advance.

But the schedule is never the point. It’s there to give me options, with room to change plans, slow down, or spend a little longer at the beach, pool, or spa.

turn “someday” into somewhere you’ve been

That’s what you’ll find on Atlas Unbound: firsthand travel experiences, detailed itineraries, destination guides, solo travel advice, honest recommendations, costs, logistics, hotels, restaurants, transportation, and the decisions behind my trips—including what worked, what didn’t, what I’d skip, and what I’d travel halfway around the world to experience again.

The goal is simple: to give the information and inspiration to turn “someday” into a trip you’ve actually taken.

Live like there is no tomorrow.

Not recklessly. Not irresponsibly. Just with the understanding that the time we assume we’ll have someday isn’t guaranteed.

If there’s somewhere you’ve always wanted to go, I hope Atlas Unbound helps you get there.

I’ll see you out there.
